On Friday 28 September, from 9am onwards, Holdcroft Stoke on Leek Road is inviting local people to pop in for cakes, coffee and a chat – all while raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Since the first coffee morning in 1990, more than £200 million has been raised for the charity, and team members at Holdcroft Motor Group hope their treats will tempt local people to help raise more money to support the millions of people in the UK living with cancer.
Holdcroft Stoke has hosted several Macmillan Coffee Mornings in the past, and last year the event raised £300, which was then doubled by the Holdcroft family. The team hope to raise even more money this year.
Qashem Miah, General Manager at Holdcroft Stoke, said: “It’s not often you meet someone who hasn’t been affected by cancer at some point in their lives.
“We’re proud to host a coffee morning to do our bit to say thank you for the incredible work that Macmillan does to support them. It also gives us a great opportunity to take some time out to catch up with members of the community over a good cup of coffee and some homemade cakes.
“The team are whisking up a storm for the event, so I hope local people will come out and support the team, the charity, and enjoy some delicious treats!”
