Added: 30 January 2019
That new car smell feeling, you could bottle it up and keep it for a lifetime. If you smoke in your new motor then not to worry. Follow Holdcroft’s top tips to banish that bad smell.
The Ground Coffee Trick
From the myth of truck drivers, coffee has such a strong smell it eliminates odours in the air by overpowering them. However, this does mean you’ve got to like coffee. So, for this to work you will need a shallow bowl and fill it with ground aromatic coffee, then simply place these in car foot-wells or even on the seats dependent how bad your cigarette smell is. The coffee will absorb the lingering odour and leave you with a long-lasting barista coffee smell.
Give Your Car a Good Scrub
Put on your scruffy clothes and heavy-duty gloves and get scrubbing your up-holstery. Currently there are plenty of cleaning products suitable for your car’s interior. Work in a clockwise motion producing small circles one section at a time, so get ready for elbow grease! Leave the windows open preferably to let the car breathe and minimise the smell and your up-holstery should look good as new for half the price of a professional valet!
Clean Your Windows Frequently
You sometimes might notice a brown film over your window screen, very thin but it will appear on the inside. This tar looking film will need glass cleaner treatment, dependent on how often you smoke once to twice a week. You’ll notice a whole new bright world out there once you’ve done it!
The Sweet Smell from The Heater
Your car could be immaculate inside but, the smell of cigarettes still lingers in the area? Now your confused. Over time the smell of tobacco will stick to your air-con, if you don’t sort the circulation of air coming from your heater the smell of cigarettes will continue to pump through your cabin. Let’s prevent this, at Holdcroft we offer air filter treatment which ensures the air-flow is clean. Head over to our service offer page to find out more: http://bit.ly/2RWMRvj
