Due to having no tailpipe, the Nissan AIRYA unsurprisingly achieved an impeccable score of 10/10 in the Clean Air index. This high score included top scores in the two constituent sections of the Clean Air Index: The Laboratory Test and the Road Test. Additionally, high scores were also achieved in the other two categories, with a 9.3/10 in the Energy Efficiency Index and a 9.5/10 in the Greenhouse Gas Index.

Furthermore, when the standard On-Road Drive was performed at -1 degrees, the ARIYA’s consumption came in at 24 kWh/62 miles. When charging the usable battery with 11 kW, the overall efficiency was stated to be made up of 91.6% of energy drawn from the electricity grid – representing the highest value measured by Green NCAP so far, as stated by Green NCAP’s report. In addition, the capacity of the usable battery measured by Green NCAP was 89.6 kWh.

In response to these remarkable results, Nissan Region Vice President Arnaud Charpentier stated, “At Nissan, we are deeply committed to our sustainability and electrification goals as outlined in Ambition 2030. It is wonderful that Green NCAP has recognised the ARIYA as being at the forefront of this eco-revolution. We are so proud of everyone across the team who has worked tirelessly to accomplish this achievement”.

With an impeccable rating from Green NCAP, the Nissan AIRYA not only embodies Nissan’s pledge for a cleaner future, but also represents the most efficient option for customers who desire greater sustainability within their driving experiences.
