With its distinctive and contemporary design, spacious and premium interior, with an array of unique touches, the MX-30 has already made a splash with customers. That’s why for 2022, Mazda have updated this to make it an even more attractive model! The updated model retains last years 35.5kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a range of up to 124 miles, however the new MX-30 has increased it’s fast charging capabilities, increasing the maximum power it can accept by 10kW, meaning that it now takes just 26 minutes to recharge, 10 minutes quicker than before!

In the existing model, the MX-30 EV’s sound, designed to subconsciously recognise the amount of torque being generated has also been optimised to help make driving feel more natural and help tune out other sounds such as wind and road noise, so it’s less distracting and more like driving a traditional combustion engined vehicle. Incorporating the ‘Jinbai Ittai - car and driver as one’ ethos used in Mazda’s other models means that the MX-30 has been designed to give intuitive responses, natural feedback and handling that is unquestionably Mazda. Electric G-Vectoring Control Plus aids chassis performance by using torque to optimise front-rear load shift for improved stability. This focus also extend to the throttle, which delivers an seamless transition between power and regenerative braking, to make the MX-30 feel natural and familiar in its performance.

Inside, the MX-30 has received an array of updates too, with new interior trim options across all three trim levels, including stone, dark grey and brown coloured artificial leather options (in the range topping Makoto grade). For the first time, the MX-30 is now also available with a second option for the cork inlays within the interior, giving you the choice of light and dark cork. All models come as standard with an array of features including LED headlights with all UK MX-30s includes LED headlights with daytime running lights, reversing camera, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Intelligent Speed Assist, navigation and head-up display.

Outside, the MX-30 now sports some new colour options, including Zircon Sand and Soul Red Crystal, which are enhanced by the option of multi-tone colour options, so that the five metallic paint choices can be matched with a Brilliant Black roof and either Silver or Dark Grey side panels. This, along with the different choices of 18-inch alloys helps to make the MX-30 look really special!
