In March 2023, Chris will embark on the Pole-to-Pole expedition in a Nissan ARIYA e-4ORCE, travelling over 27,000km, across different regions and continents with temperatures ranging between -30⁰C to 30⁰C. Ramsey will be the first person to do this sort of journey in an electric journey, as making a trip from the Arctic through North, Central and South America, before crossing to Antarctica.
The route will cover some of the world’s most extreme, dangerous and breathtaking scenery, including the snow-covered glacial landscapes, as well as mountain climes and desert dunes. Pole to Pole, driven by Nissan Ariya will allow Nissan fans to watch this incredible feat unfold before their eyes.

The vision aims to deliver exciting vehicles and technologies that empower customer journeys and society.
To prepare for the freezing conditions, Ramsey’s Nissan ARIYA e-4ORCE is going to have some modifications, including a rugged exterior fit for every different type of terrain you can think of, with upgraded wheels, tyres and suspension. A second unmodified Nissan ARIYA e-4ORCE will be the support vehicle for the Americas stretch of the journey.

The e-4ORCE system is Nissan’s most comprehensive, advanced all wheel control technology that accurately manages power output and braking performance for smoothness and stability. The system is designed to make users more confident by tracing the intended driving line over a variety of road surfaces, including wet and snowy roads, without the need for changes in driving style or input.
