Design and Interior
A jury of 100 automotive journalists from 32 countries chose the IONIQ from the top three finalists at the World Car Awards, praising its unique aerodynamic design enabling it to ‘glide through the air’. As stated by the Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Global Design Centre, SangYup Lee, “the daring streamliner styling combines strong emotional appeal with aerodynamic efficiency to give exceptional range. Inside, we set-out to create a personal studio which offers the mindful space and calm functionality which, we believe, elevates EV design.” The clean and radically streamlined design embodies simplicity and elegance, with every aspect being carefully crafted for wind-cheating dexterity. Furthermore, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 is offered in a choice of four colours: Serenity White Pearl, Nocturne Grey Metallic, Gravity Gold Matte and Biophilic Blue Pearl.
In addition to the impressive exterior of the car, the interior is equally as impressive with the seating being designed for comfort, with the front two seats being referred to as, ‘premium relaxation’ seats, which auto-reclinate at the touch of a button.

Performance
The IONIQ 6 will launch equipped with a large 77.4kWh battery on both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants, as well as later launching with a more affordable 53kWh battery in single-motor rear-wheel drive guise. Furthermore, due to an 800V charging system, capable of using 350kW ultra-fast chargers, the IONIQ 6’s charge has the ability to be increased by 10 to 80 percent within just 18 minutes, making for incredibly reliable journeys.
Building upon the work of the Hyundai IONIQ 5, the IONIQ 6 has up to a 450-mile range when charged, as well as helpful features such as the brand’s vehicle-to-grid capabilities. This feature allows the IONIQ 6 to contribute to storing renewable energy and feed it back to the grid at peak times, therefore benefiting themselves as electric vehicle owners.

Tech Control
Inside the IONIQ 6 is a remarkable array of tech control, boasting a dual screen-layout, with twin 12.0-inch screens showcasing a driver display and a touchscreen infotainment display in the centre. Just below the screens is a full width ventilation outlet with a dedicated climate control display slightly below that – ensuring the driver is prepared for any weather condition. Additionally, the IONIQ 6 also comes with a handy ‘vehicle to load’ cable, so any device from kettles to computer chargers can be run from the car itself.
The IONIQ 6 also gets an updated version of Hyundai’s Digital Key system, allowing drivers to use a smartphone or smartwatch as opposed to a key fob. A digital key is an important part of Hyundai’s bluelink telematics package, with other features including battery preconditioning, roadside assistance and over-the-air updates, informing the driver of new Hyundai features available. In addition to the new features, the complement driver aids such as forward collision warning, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control remain a staple feature within the IONIQ 6.
