Honda Celebrates Major Success at the 2026 What Car? Awards

Honda claimed two standout awards at the 2026 What Car? Awards, with the Honda Civic named Family Car of the Year and the brand itself receiving the prestigious reliability honour, following its top ranking in the What Car? Most Reliable Brand survey at the end of 2025.

The Civic’s latest success comes after its 2025 model refresh, which introduced updated exterior styling and subtle interior improvements to enhance comfort, refinement and perceived quality, while preserving the model’s renowned efficiency and hybrid performance.

Commenting on the Civic’s win, What Car? Editor Steve Huntingford said:

“The Honda Civic is among the most spacious and practical family cars available. It also strikes an excellent balance between ride comfort and engaging handling. Its hybrid powertrain delivers strong performance, quiet operation and outstanding real-world fuel economy, all while remaining competitively priced when purchased on PCP finance.”

Honda’s ongoing strength in reliability was also recognised with this year’s reliability award. Huntingford added:

“Although Honda consistently performs well in our annual What Car? Reliability Survey, it rose to the top in 2025. The brand recorded the lowest fault rate of all manufacturers, and when issues did arise, they were resolved quickly and at no cost to owners.”

Reacting to the double success, Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda Motor Europe – UK, said:

“We’re thrilled to see the Civic recognised once again and to receive further confirmation of Honda’s long-standing reputation for reliability. These awards highlight the commitment of our teams, our retail partners and the confidence our customers place in the brand. It’s a fantastic way to start 2026.”

These awards further underline Honda’s position as a leader in quality, dependability and family car excellence within the UK market.
