The Honda 0 Series Saloon has been awarded "Best EV Design" at the 2025 Top Gear Awards, celebrating the model’s visionary styling and advanced technology. This recognition underscores Honda’s bold new approach to electric mobility, combining design elegance with cutting-edge innovation.

First unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, the 0 Series – including the Saloon and SUV prototypes – reflects Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” design philosophy. These vehicles are engineered to elevate the driving experience while expanding the possibilities of EV design.

Key innovations include:

  • ASIMO OS, a proprietary operating system that intelligently adapts to occupants’ emotions and intentions to personalize the cabin experience.

  • Level 3 autonomous driving, enabling hands-free operation in certain conditions to enhance safety and convenience.

The Saloon’s exterior features a seamless "one-motion" profile, flowing from front to rear, with a wide, low stance that conveys both agility and elegance. The upright side glass creates a spacious visual impression, while the sculpted lower panels accentuate the vehicle’s dynamic presence.

Inside, a minimalist human-machine interface (HMI) offers an intuitive user experience, while the low vehicle height and intelligent packaging deliver an unexpectedly roomy cabin.

Greg Potts, Features Editor at TopGear.com, commented: “The 0 Saloon and 0 SUV prototypes unveiled at CES 2025 both look incredible. They’re gloriously futuristic in design, and we’re told they’re 95% production-ready. Honda’s ‘Thin, Light, and Wise’ approach is a smart evolution, and we’re excited to see these EVs on the road.”

Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda Motor Europe UK, added: “We’re incredibly proud to receive the ‘Best EV Design’ award from Top Gear. It reflects Honda’s commitment to creativity, innovation, and our vision for the future of electric mobility.”

Production of the Honda 0 Saloon is set to begin in 2026, with the European launch expected in 2027. The 0 Series will expand to include a range of seven models – small, medium, and large – rolled out globally by 2030, starting with North America, then Japan and Europe.
