International best-selling author Frank Melling has collected his new Mazda CX-5 from Holdcroft Mazda in Hanley.
Frank said: “I demand a lot from my cars and the CX-5, with a diesel engine and all-wheel drive, easily beat everything else I looked at.
I often spend a whole day driving, on the way to book signings and shows, and I wanted to do this in comfort and safety. The CX-5 comes fully equipped with every luxury and a vast range of driver aids which are ever more essential on crowded roads.
It also has air conditioned seats and that’s a first for me. This will be a big help after a long, summer book signing session!
Because I have to get to engagements in any weather, the all-wheel drive is essential and the distances I drive meant that a diesel was the perfect solution. The 181hp engine is powerful, easy to drive and very light on fuel.
Finally, with the rear seats dropped flat, the CX-5 is vast inside, for the times when we need it to be a van - fully loaded with books and promotional material for a book fair.
I have been driving for a very long time and I have never had a better car than the CX-5.”
