The newest MG model to join the range, the MG4 EV is an all electric hatchback, designed to offer superior interior space, technology, driving quality, as well as excellent value for money. With a striking new design language, the MG4 EV is built on the new MSP platform, this, combined with its thin 51kWh or 64kWh battery means that it is able to offer incredible cabin space for passengers and cargo. This platform also offers an engaging driving experience thanks to its 50:50 weight distribution, rear wheel drive configuration and low centre of gravity, thanks to the design of the battery being thin and placed in the bottom of the car.
The new MG4 EV is available in two distinctive trim levels, SE and Trophy and two powertrains, Standard Range and Long Range, which will offer a variety of impressive features and technologies.
The MG4 EV SE comes standard with a range of features, including MG’s comprehensive seven-year warranty. This model comes with a 10.25’’ floating infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, coupled with a 7’’ driver display. In addition to this, the MG4 EV SE comes with MG’s Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance system, which comes with a range of safety features including Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent High Beam Control and Active Emergency Braking, to name a few. Not only this, but the MG4 EV SE comes with LED Headlights and Rear Lights, 17’’ alloy wheels.
Move up to the Trophy Model and gain a number of features including upgraded MG Pilot Driver Assistance, with Blind Spot Detection and Lane Change Assist, a two tone roof with rear privacy glass, twin aero rear spoiler, leather interior with electric driver’s seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, Bluetooth key, satellite navigation, 360 camera, wireless phone charging.
All models will also be compatible with the MG iSMART mobile app which allows you to control various functions of your car through your smartphone. This means you can do a variety of things including pre-starting the climate control system to cool or heat the car before entering, as well as scheduling battery charging whenever works best for you. The MG4 EV Trophy also comes with upgraded MG iSmart system compatible with live services are all standard.
Initially the MG4 EV is available with battery capacities from 51kWh to 64kWh, the MG4 EV Standard Range will be capable of 218 miles range on the WLTP cycle – with Long Range SE and Trophy Models capable of 281 miles and 270 miles respectively. The 64kWh battery is also capable of charging up to 135kW, meaning a charge time of only 35 minutes from 10% - 80% using a 150kW DC rapid charger.
There are 6 exciting colours to choose from Arctic White, Holborn Blue, Black Pearl and Dynamic Red joined by two new MG colours: Camden Grey and Volcano Orange.
