Renault Sales Success in October 2007

Renault Group posted a 5.8 per cent increase in car and LCV sales worldwide in October 2007, compared with the same month last year.

All three brands contributed to the worldwide sales total of 219,411 vehicles, with increases of 4.6 per cent for Renault, 19.1 per cent for Dacia and 4.5 per cent for Renault Samsung Motors.

Sales for the year to October 2007 were down 0.1% compared to the same period in 2006.

In Europe, group sales totalled 143,058 units in October, down 1.6 per cent with a market share of 9.5 per cent.

Renault said almost 20,000 orders have been taken for all-new Laguna since its simultaneous launch in 15 European countries.

Dacia posted a strong sales increase of 79.4 per cent, confirming the success of the Logan saloon and Logan MCV.

Outside of Europe, group sales remain on a growth path with an increase of 23.2 per cent.
