Holdcroft Mitsubishi Evo X 2008 Premiere
The eagerly anticipated all-new Lancer Evolution X will made its worldwide premiere on 25th October 2007 at the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan.
Since its launch in 1992, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution has been building a reputation as the supercar slayer. After nine generations, this vehicle really has proved the theory of evolution. Already a legend, the next incarnation of the Lancer Evolution is set to be the ultimate high performance car.
Mitsubishi warn - Prepare to be amazed - again!
The Lancer Evolution X is the most comprehensive and dynamic performance car ever developed by Mitsubishi. It's a vehicle with styling that raises the bar on performance car looks and features innovations that are guaranteed to thrill.

Technical wizardry...
At the heart of the Lancer Evolution X is an all-new all aluminium MIVEC equipped turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This is a power train as serious as the flowing lines that surround it. The future Lancer Evolution X will also boast the next generation of Mitsubishi AWD called Super All Wheel Drive Control (ADWC), combined with the Active Centre Differential and Active Yaw Control systems from previous generations.
Add too the mix Mitsubishi's Active Braking Control, Active Skid Control and Roll Control Suspension technologies it's clear that the Lancer Evolution X will feature one of the most comprehensive and advanced road-holding systems ever seen.
The best gets better...
Equipped with aluminium roof and body panels coupled with the cars technology will further improve steering and handling to create a car that will undoubtably be the very embodiment of 'driving pleasure and involvement'.
The new Lancer Evolution X will feature a choice of two transmission systems, a five speed manual and a six automated manual transmission with magnesium steering wheel paddle shifters offering lightning fast, paddle-shift actuated shifting when desired, along with a fully automatic mode. This unit is not a conventional torque-converter automatic transmission, but rather a true auto-capable manual similar to that used on some of the world's most notable performance models.
